Firefighter

What they do

A firefighter rides a big red engine with a loud siren. They carry a long hose that sprays water, and a ladder that reaches high windows.

They wear a helmet and thick clothes so the heat cannot reach them.

Where they work: At a fire station, and wherever they are called.

Let’s pretend

Use a skipping rope as your hose and rescue a toy from the top of the sofa. Make the siren sound as you go.
