Doctor
The person we visit when we are not feeling well.
What they do
A doctor listens to your chest, looks in your throat and asks how you are feeling. Then they tell your family what will help you get better.
Some doctors look after babies and children all day long. They are called paediatricians.
Where they work: In a clinic, a hospital or a health centre.
Let’s pretend
Tie a piece of string around your neck for a stethoscope and give your teddy a checkup. Ask it where it hurts, then say what will help.
